Planet Clicker
More games to play
Planet Clicker is a free incremental clicker game where you generate energy by clicking a planet and spend it on producers that keep earning while you are away. Made by Coltroc and released in March 2020, it runs entirely in your browser with no download needed, so it works at school or work wherever browser games are allowed.
What is Planet Clicker?
Planet Clicker is an idle clicker in the incremental genre. You start with a single energy counter, click your planet to fill it, and buy producers that add a steady stream of energy on their own. The goal is to bank enough energy to purchase the next planet, each of which opens a fresh set of upgrades. The game has no timer and no way to lose, so you set the pace and check back when the numbers have grown.
How to control Planet Clicker
Everything runs on a single mouse button. On mobile, taps replace clicks and work the same way.
| Action | How to do it |
|---|---|
| Earn energy | Left-click (or tap) the planet on screen |
| Buy a producer | Click it in the upgrade list on the side |
| Purchase the next planet | Accumulate the energy cost shown for that planet |
| Earn while idle | Producers run automatically in the background |
The three planets and what they unlock
Progression moves through three planets. Each one adds a new layer of upgrades and a bigger energy goal to aim for.
| Planet | How to reach it | New upgrades it adds |
|---|---|---|
| Earth | Starting planet | Basic clicking power and first producers |
| Mars | Bank enough energy for interplanetary transfer | Solar oil, coal, nuclear power, alien technology |
| Venus | Costs 1 trillion energy units | Iron, lava production, future technology |
Getting energy faster: producer strategy
The upgrade list is ordered from cheapest to most expensive, and the cheapest items rarely stay the best value for long. Buying a producer as soon as you can afford it tends to pay off faster than holding back for the next tier. Future Technology, the final upgrade on Venus, is the most powerful option in the game but also the costliest. Switching planets as soon as you can afford one is usually worth it, since the new producers outpace everything on the previous planet.
Tips for building your energy count
- Click by hand only when you are starting a new planet and producers are still thin.
- Let producers run when you step away. Coming back to a larger bank makes the next purchase reachable faster.
- Prioritize the planet purchase over small incremental upgrades once you are close to the cost.
- On Venus, work toward Future Technology as a long-term target since it adds more energy per second than any earlier upgrade.
